* If you have bought polarised headers for HDR1, HDR2 and HDR3, then they must be aligned
correctly. Pin 1 lines up with the square pad on the PCB. Pin 1 is normally depicted by a small
triangle on the body of the header.

IC sockets are optional but recommended for DIY projects. There are thirteen 8-pin, two 14-pin and
five 16-pin DIL sockets used on the main board.
