7.1
Regular tasks
Check at regular intervals that the unit is functioning perfectly. Determine suitable intervals depending
on the unit operating time and soiling of the water. The higher the demands on cleaning, the more
often it is necessary to inspect the unit.
7.2
Removing/fitting the unit head
C A U T I O N
The ultra-violet radiation of the UVC lamp can burn your eyes and skin.
•
Never operate the UVC lamp outside its casing.
•
For safety reasons, the UVC lamp can only be turned on when the UVC clarifier is properly
installed in the device.
•
When using several Bitron Premium 120 W / 180 W: Only connect the unit heads of one
UVC clarifier to one switch box.
C A U T I O N
Lamp is hot. Risk of burns on touching the lamp.
•
Switch off and disconnect the unit. Wait several minutes until the lamp has cooled down be-
fore dismantling.
How to proceed:

1. Press the locking hook, then turn the unit head counter-clockwise by approx. 30 degrees and
carefully remove it.
– Ensure that the transport protection on the quartz glass tube is not lost.
2. Carefully insert the unit head in the base at a twist angle of approx. 30 degrees and turn it clockwise
until the unit head audibly locks into place.
– Ensure that the transport protection is positioned on the quartz glass tube.
7.3
Cleaning the quartz glass
Prerequisite:

How to proceed:
1. Wipe the quartz glass tube with a damp cloth
2. Check the O-ring on the unit head for damage and replace, if necessary.
