Area of application
All commercial alternating current units can be connected to the permanent
FM garden socket in a splash-proof manner for continuous operation.
At the FM master connecting points with switching feature, these units can
also be switched on and off by means of the remote control.
At the dimmer connection of the FM master 3, you can control the height of
the fountain or the flow rate of your OASE pump – type Nautilus or Aquamax
by remote control.
Safety instructions
Observe the safety instructions for the units to be connected. Ensure that the
connecting points are dry.
Ensure that the supply cable is suited for the total connected rating and for
outdoor use. Only connect the supply cable to a permanently installed wet
room earthing contact socket. Please note that the cover of the garden socket
must always be closed. Only use the dimmer connection for the specified
OASE pumps. Never operate the unit if it appears defective.
Only have repair work performed by the supplier/manufacturer.
Commissioning/start-up
Only start-up the unit while observing the safety instructions!
Only operate the unit with the voltages specified on the type plate!
Fastening:
Slide the earth rod into the receptacle provided on the housing for
this purpose. Push the entire length of the earth rod into the ground. As an
alternative, the garden socket may also be screw fitted through the screw
slots provided in the bottom of the housing using 6 mm screws. Check to
ensure that the garden socket is sufficiently stable.
Connection:
Now insert the earthing contact plugs of the units to be
connected into the appropriate sockets. Note that the permanent current-
carrying sockets are identified in grey, the switching sockets in black and the
dimmer socket of the FM master in blue.
ATTENTION:
Ensure that only the specified units are connected to the dimmer
socket. However, should an unsuitable unit ever be accidentally connected to
this socket, the control electronics of the FM garden socket is protected by a
1.25A safety fuse which would blow in this case and needs to be replaced.
This fuse is located above the two upper sockets, and may be removed or
replaced by unscrewing the cover. We recommend to have this undertaken by
an authorized dealer.
Wrap all cables of the connected unit around the corrugated sprockets in the
bottom area of the housing. This will relieve the tension on the supply cables,
and prevent dangerous stumbling. Insert the coupling of the supply line cable
into the input plug. Place the protective cover over the housing by inserting the
guide ridge of the protection hood into the guide slots of the housing, and
pushing it down completely.
Check the function of the manual transmitter by pressing a key. The control
LED must light up.
