Connecting the DMX connection cable
A maximum of 31 end devices may be connected to one DMX bus.
How to proceed:
D
•
Fasten the DMX box to a suitable foundation using 2 screws.
F
1. Remove the protection cap from the DMX-Box.
– DMX-IN: Connection for DMX input signal (WECS)
– DMX-OUT: Connection for DMX signal to further units (signal feedthrough). A terminator has to be plugged into
DMX-OUT (termination of the DMX bus) of the last unit.
2. Fit the plug connector and secure with the two screws (max. 2.0 Nm).
– Ensure that the rubber seal is clean and fits exactly.
– Replace the rubber seal if damaged.
G
•
Connect the DMX boxes with each other (loop).
– Use OASE connection cable, DMX.
Connecting the unit to the power supply
•
Switching power pack requirements:
– Electronic switching power pack with DC decoupling between the primary and secondary side.
– Output voltage: 24 V DC
– Residual ripple: Max. 5 %
How to proceed:
E
•
Fasten the PowerBox 24V DC to a suitable foundation using 2 screws.
F
1. Remove the protection cap from PowerBox 24 V DC.
– The two 24 V DC sockets are connected in parallel. The second 24 V DC socket can be used for supplying other
units (signal feed-through).
2. Fit the plug connector and secure with the two screws (max. 2.0 Nm).
– Ensure that the rubber seal is clean and fits exactly.
– Replace the rubber seal if damaged.
H
•
Connect the PowerBoxes with each other (loop).
– Use the OASE 24 V DC/01 connection cable.
Commissioning/start-up
N O T E
Never allow the pump to run dry. Otherwise the pump will be destroyed.
•
Ensure that the pump is always flooded during operation.
•
Regularly check the water level.
N O T E
•
A DMX controller or a DMX/RDM controller can be used for commissioning/start-up and operation.
•
The DMX / RDM protocol is used for signal transmission and control.
•
For programming, refer to the controller documentation.
Switching on the unit
Switching on:
Establish an electrical connection and transmit the DMX control signal.
Switching off:
Transmit the DMX control signal and disconnect the electrical connection.
