Position the hair clipper so that the flat side of the comb attachment is parallel
with the head. Keep a steady but relaxed grip and move the appliance over the
hair with calm even movements.
The hair on top of the head should not be cut with the comb attachment.
Cutting with the help of a comb or fingers
The fingers and/or a comb can be used if a hair length over 17 mm is desired. This
technique is also used for cutting the hair on top of the head.
1. Remove the comb attachment.
2. Lift up a smaller part of the hair with the comb or hold it between the fingers
so that the hair that needs to be cut is hanging out.
3. Cut off the hair with the hair clipper. Continue the same way until the desired
length is reached.
4. Comb through the hair regularly to remove loose hair and to make sure that
you get an even result.
Lower part of the neck
Set the comb on setting 1, 2, or 3 depending upon the desired length. Start at the
lower middle part of the neck and move the hair clipper slowly upwards and down.
Back of the head
Set the comb on setting 5 or 6. Cut the hair by moving the clipper slowly upwards
and down.
Sides
Set the comb on setting 1, 2, or 3. Cut the sides and behind the ears. More
information about trimming around the ears can be found under ”trimming”.
Trimming – cutting without the comb attachment
1. Remove the comb attachment.
2. Hold the clipper so that the backside is up and that the blade is in an angle
towards the head.
3. Cut downwards. Be careful around the ears.
Warning!
The blade is very sharp and it is easy to injure the person that you cut
if not being careful.
Make sure that the blade does
not
touch the ears – keep the ear away with one
hand when cutting around the ears.
