Cleaning of the draught beer dispenser
The draught beer dispenser should be cleaned on a regular basis and also when a new keg
is installed. Furthermore it is recommended to clean the drip tray and the stainless steel plate
after each use of the draught beer dispenser.
Before cleaning the draught beer dispenser must be turned off and the plug should removed
from the power supply. Never use abrasive agents, solvent or the like as this may harm both
external and internal surfaces. The following parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and
detergent:
External surfaces
Tap unit with handle
Drip tray
Stainless steel plate for drip tray
It is very important to clean the sealing rings of the draught beer dispenser regularly as these
may be damaged by dust and dirt. Sealing rings are positioned in the base of the draught
beer dispenser (5), in the pressure lid and at the rim of the aluminium container. The sealing
rings at the base and in the pressure lid can be cleaned with a damp cloth and detergent.
The sealing ring at the rim of the container should be rinsed in cold water. Shake off excess
water – do not dry with a piece of cloth as this may leave lint on the sealing ring which may
prevent the sealing ring from functioning properly.
The aluminium container can also be cleaned with a damp cloth and detergent. Do NOT
fill the container with water as this may result in permanent damage. Never use abrasive
agents, solvents or the like to clean the container.
IMPORTANT!
Do not immerse the draught beer dispenser in water or other liquids. Also
avoid water in the vent holes on the back of the draught beer dispenser.
The vent holes on the back should be dusted off with a dry cloth. A vacuum cleaner (at low
power) can also be used to vacuum the vent holes.
Noise emitted from the draught beer dispenser
When a keg is installed, the draught beer dispenser has to be switched on constantly in order
to keep the beer cold and to continuously keep the optimum temperature of the beer. When
the draught beer dispenser is switched on, noise is generated due to cooling of the keg and
maintaining pressure inside the container.
Cooling: When the draught beer dispenser is cooling, a low noise from the fan at the back
can be heard continuously.
Maintaining of pressure: The draught beer dispenser is equipped with a pump which
maintains the right pressure inside the container. It is necessary to maintain pressure inside
the container in order to dispense beer and to preserve optimum beer quality. When the
pump is activated, a “buzzing” sound will be heard. The pump will be activated in three
situations:
