Safety instructions
Never pour vinegar, descaling agents, softening agents,
distilled water or other chemical liquids in the iron. Such
liquids combined with the metallic part of the iron may
damage the iron. Possible damage to the iron or garments
due to incorrect use is not covered by the warranty.
1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save
it for future use.
2. Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 110/120 or 220-
240V (see item 3) only, and use the appliance only for the
intended use.
3. The position of the voltage selector switch shall correspond
with the voltage of the household outlet used.
4. Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when
disorder is experienced, when not in use, and before cleaning
and maintenance.
5. The appliance must not be immersed into water or other
liquids. Never use the appliance with wet hands.
6. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible
for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance. Children are not always able to
understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible
handling of electrical appliances.
8. Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than
8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down.
9. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.
10. Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the
table.
11. The appliance must not be left unattended while it is
connected to the supply mains.
