Before use
Clean the pot and lid as described under “Cleaning and maintenance”.
Place the appliance on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface. Feel free to add a mat
underneath to protect the surface underneath from the heat.
The ceramic pot has an unglazed underside which may scratch some surfaces
such as ceramic stoves, tabletops and other sensitive surfaces. Therefore,
always place a mat underneath the pot.
To avoid the risk of burning, always use pot holders/oven gloves when lifting
the lid or pot. Place the pot on a pot stand or other heat-resistant surface.
Preparation of raw ingredients before cooking
•
Remove fat and tendons from meat and cut into cubes of around 2.5 cm.
Season the meat and sear it if you prefer, before placing it on top of the
vegetables in the pot.

Chicken should be cooked without skin.
•
Cut the vegetables into smaller pieces/thinly as they are cooked more
slowly than meat in a slow cooker. Place the vegetables at the bottom or
around the edges of the pot. Frozen vegetables should be thawed before
being cooked.
•
Use whole spices for cooking in the slow cooker.
