Follow recipe instructions. When you are finished with the recipe, set the speed switch to 0
and disconnect the plug from the power socket. Then press the release button and place the
mixer head in vertical position. Remove tool/accessory.
Setting the speed
Apply the plug to a power socket and switch on. It is recommended that you always start at
the lowest speed and then increase the speed a little at a time to prevent the ingredients from
spattering out of the bowl. See the guide below for recommended speed settings.
The kitchen machine is equipped with an electronic speed sensor to ensure constant, inva-
riable speed (for e.g. when flour is added to paste). Minor speed variations might be heard
while the kitchen machine electronically adapts to the selected speed level.
Using the mixer accessories
The guide below offers suggestions for speed settings. Start at speed level 1 and then incre-
ase speed in accordance with the recipe.

Put all liquid ingredients in the bowl first, then add the dry ingredients. Always stay near the
kitchen machine during use. Start at low speed until the ingredients are well mixed. This will
reduce the risk of spatter. Always add ingredients as close to the sides of the bowl as pos-
sible and not directly into the rotating tool.
When preparing cake mixtures, use speed level 2 for low speed, speed level 4 for medium
speed, and speed level 6 for high speed. To obtain the best results, mixtures should be pro-
cessed for the amount of time stated on the package.
Mixtures containing large amounts of liquid must be processed at low speed to avoid spatter.
Increase speed when the mixture has thickened.
Dough is one of the thickest types of paste. Mixing dough can be facilitated by means of the
advice below:
-
Add butter or margarine which has room temperature
-
Add the ingredients one at a time and mix well each time a new ingredient is added.
-
Add one cup of flour at a time
-
Increase speed if the machine seems to struggle when mixing the paste.
Operate the machine at medium speed when mixing thinner types of paste. Switch off the
kitchen machine frequently to scrape paste off the bowl’s sides with a rubber spatula. Add
all liquid ingredients first, then add the dry ingredients. Always stay near the kitchen machine
during use.
