Cleaning and maintenance
•
The meat thermometer must not be immersed in water or other fluids. If it
gets wet, wipe it dry immediately, as fluids contain minerals that can cause
the electronic components to rust. This applies to both the transmitter and
the receiver.
•
The metal probe can be washed using a mild detergent and the cable can
be wiped using a lightly dampened cloth, but the switch must never come
into contact with water or any other fluid. The metal probe must not be
washed in a dishwasher.
•
The meat thermometer must not be exposed to rough treatment, dust,
extreme temperature differences or air humidity, as this could result in it
not functioning optimally.
•
Use new batteries of the correct size only. Alkaline batteries may be used.
Used batteries should be disposed of, as they may leak acids that damage
the thermometer’s electronic circuits.
