Information on the GES R2

Note!
If the GES R2 floor socket is inserted in screed floors, then screed
boxes of type UD GES R2 must have been installed in the screed
floor.
The GES R2

ket must be mounted and installed after the
floor is ins
talled
.
The GES R2
floor soc
ket has a modular structure and offers ins-
tallation space for, for example, two Modul 45 sockets (VDE/NF)
or Modul 45 universal data technology supports and space for two
additional data and multimedia connections
.
The system compo-
nents are interconnected using locking straps
.
The GES R2
floor soc
ket is a closed installation protection housing
(an exception is the area of the additional data and multimedia
connections)
.
The installation cables can be inserted either from
below or from the side
.
For cable entry, a space of 10 mm beneath
the GES R2
floor soc
ket is required
.
The GES R2
floor soc
ket is equipped with strain reliefs
.
The additional data and multimedia connections are also freely
accessible from below and from the side
.
The metal and plastic hinged lids differ in their construction
.
The locking hooks of the plastic lids are offset by 12° compared to
the locking hooks of the metal lids (see Fig
