Improving the image quality

Select the Scan mode.
The list of available scan profiles is shown.

If not yet selected, select the required profile using the arrow buttons.

Place the set of originals in the automatic document feeder or align the original
on the glass platen.

Open the ‘Original’ section.

Indicate whether the originals are 1 or 2-sided (from the glass platen only
1-sided originals can be scanned).

Press ‘Book binding’ or ‘Calendar binding’ to select the icon representing the
orientation of information on your original page(s). See figure 6 on page 20.

Open the ‘Digital document’ section.

If required, select the required page size.

Go to the ‘Image quality’ settings (see figure 9).

Press the ‘Optimize’ function button in order to select the ‘Text’ or
‘Photo’options.

If required, use the arrow buttons to select a lighter or darker output.

Select other settings as required.

Start scanning using the combine button (
) or the start button (
).
