Crate #2— with the dimensions shown in Figure 2 — contains the gantry and vacuum
pump assemblies. The loaded crates weighs approximately 544 kg (1200 lb). The
gantry must not be removed from its crate until it is to be installed on the table.
The crate was specifically designed to be a tool for installing the gantry. The gantry
crate has 4 castors so it can be easily maneuvered around the installation site.
