Safety Information
The Arizona T220UV uses ultraviolet-based inks:
•
UV inks are toxic, if swallowed;
•
May cause eye irritation;
•
May cause skin irritation upon prolonged or repeated contact;
•
May be absorbed through the skin; and
•
May cause respiratory system irritation.
Read and practice the safety guidelines as outlined in the Material Safety Data Sheet
(MSDS) for each ink, and post the document in the work area as required by prevailing law.

supplied with your printer and also on the ODGS customer website at:

Personal Safety
It is recommended that the operator wear butyl rubber gloves, a protective apron,
and safety glasses with side shields when handling inks.
What to do with Ink Spills on Surfaces
Observe precautions as noted above. Exposure to the spilled material may be
severely irritating or toxic. Follow personal protective equipment
recommendations found in Section VIII of the MSDS. Personal protective
equipment needs must be evaluated based on information provided on the MSDS
sheet and the special circumstances created by the spill including; the material
spilled, the quantity of the spill, the area in which the spill occurred, and the
expertise of employees in the area responding to the spill. Never exceed any
occupational exposure limits.
What to do with Ink Spills on Persons
Eye contact:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes retracting
eyelids often. This corrosive material can cause immediate and permanent eye
damage. Tilt the head to prevent chemical from transferring to the uncontaminated
eye. Get immediate medical attention and monitor the eye as advised by your
physician. .
Skin contact:
Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing, launder
immediately, and discard contaminated leather goods. Get medical attention
immediately.
Inhalation:
Remove person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration and get
immediate medical attention. If breathing is difficult, get immediate medical
attention.
If swallowed:
Severely irritating. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention
immediately. Drink 2 glasses of water or milk to dilute. Only induce vomiting at
the instructions of a physician. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person.
