Customer Equipment Requirements
2.6.1
Profiling Measurement Kit- Part #301010234
The purpose of the Profiling Measurement Kit is to provide the basic equipment for
measuring media thickness and for successful color management. This kit is optional, but
highly recommended. It contains the folowing items:

Gretag EyeOne Pro Spectrophotometer
•
Mitutoyo Digimatic Caliper
•
Standard UBS extension cable (10 feet)

Digital Calipers
Electronic digital calipers are required to measure the actual thickness of the media.
Accurate media thickness values are necessary to optimize print quality. A metric/imperial
version with 10micron/0.0005” resolution is required.
2.6.3
Spectrophotometer
Océ Display Graphics Systems recommends that you use a spectrophotometer to create ICC
profiles with Onyx PosterShop’s Media Manager software. The Gretag spectrophotometer
is recommended, but any model verified by Onyx to work with your version of PosterShop
is acceptable. We suggest that you use the following model:

USB Cable
The USB extension cable makes the reading of color swatches easier when creating profiles
for color management using the spectrophotometer.
2.6.5
Spoilboard Sheet Reduces Print Artifacts
When printing on thin, flexible, or porous media, the counter-bore holes in the vacuum
table of the T220UV can cause print artifacts (sometimes referred to as “dimpling”). If
plan to print on flexible media, consider adding a spoilboard sheet between the media
and the table to reduce this problem. If you think that you need this product, you must
buy directly from the manufacturer. See the Arizona T220UV User Guide for for more
