Changing the Color of the Original
(Color Creation)
Color Creation is a function that enables you to manipulate and change the color of
images. The following section describes the different types of Color Creation
functions and provides you with information on how to use each of these functions.
The procedure for changing Coloring settings after they are specified is also
explained.

Making Monochrome or One-color Copies (Single Color)
This function enables you to make copies in one specific color only.

Adding Gradations of a Desired Color to the Image or Background (Color
Gradation)
This function enables you to add gradations of a specific color to the image or the
background of a black-and-white original.

Adding Color Filter Effects (Color Filter)
This function enables you to add effects similar to those produced by color filters on a
camera.
■
Adding Colors to Designated Areas (Coloring)
This function enables you to add colors to areas bounded by lines within the image.
■
Changing a Coloring Setting that Was Previously Specified
You can make changes to the settings you have made, such as the colors specified and
the areas designated for color manipulation.

Erasing the Color of the Image (Blue Background)
This function enables you to change the background in a black-and-white original to
another color and extract the color of the image so that it appears white.

Adding Background Color (Base Color)
This function enables you to add a background of a specific color to black-and-white
originals.

Converting Designated Colors into Different Colors (Color Conversion)
This function enables you to change a specific color in an original to a different color.
■
Storing Colors of Your Choice into Memory (Color Registration)
This function enables you to store up to eight different colors of your choice into the
copier’s memory for easy retrieval.
