OXYGEN ACCUMULATION BAR GRAPH
(Fig. 46a)
If FO2 was set for a numerical value (nitrox), the Oxygen
Accumulation (O2) Bar Graph will add segments (green
toward red) to represent oxygen accumulation for that dive, or
24 hour period, whichever amount is greater.
VARIABLE ASCENT RATE INDICATOR
(Fig. 46b)
The Variable Ascent Rate Indicator (VARI) shows how fast you
are ascending. When you exceed the maximum recom-
mended ascent rate for the depth you are at (see below), it
will enter the red (Too Fast) zone and you will be alerted by
the graphic TOO FAST, all segments of the bar graph
flashing, an Audible alarm and the red LED Warning Indica-
tor, unless set OFF (Fig. 47). The warnings will stop when
your ascent rate is slowed.
At depths greater than 60 feet (18 meters), maximum
recommended rate is 60 feet/minute (18 meters/minute).
At depths of 60 feet (18 meters) and shallower, maximum
recommended rate is 30 feet/minute (9 meters/minute).
NOTE: Refer to page 10 for additional information
pertaining to the Variable Ascent Rate Indicator.
