8. Door
The door is delivered within its frame. The screws holding the hinge into the door frame are temporary
20mm screws for the purpose of delivery and handling during installation. The door is heavy and should
be installed by two people. One person stepping inside and one person remaining outside the cabin.
i.
Lift the door into position so that the external cladding on the door is level with the external
cladding on the wall panels. The internal cladding on the wall panels should be flush with the
inside of the door frame. See Fig 8a
ii.
Fix the top rail down onto the top of the door frame and adjacent panel(s) using 50mm screws.
iii.
It may be helpful to hold the door open by propping it up on a block to keep it level for the next
fews steps.
iv.
Pilot drill, countersink and fix with 50mm screws the side of the frame opposite the hinges into
the adjacent wall panel. Fig 8c
v.
Remove the temporary 20mm screws from the hinge into the door frame and replace with
50mm screws fixing in to the adjacent panel. Do this one screw at a time to ensure the door
does not drop starting with the centre screw. Fig8d
vi.
Fit the door handle using the 120mm x 10mm bolts provided.
vii.
Fix the door closer tab onto the front of the door halfway up the door using 30mm screws.
viii. Tap the dowel into the holes, chisel leaving 2mm proud then sand flush.
ix.
Fit the roller catch on the adjacent wall panel in line with the tab using the 30mm screws
provided.
