Battery Cover Removal

•  Turn the module over to expose the Battery Cover.

•  While applying steady inward pressure on the center of

the Battery Cover, rotate the Retaining Ring 10 degrees

clockwise by pressing against the upper tab of the Ring

with a small blade screwdriver (Fig. 114).

•  Lift the Ring up and away from the Housing, or turn the

Module over to allow the Ring to drop out into your hand.

•  Remove the Battery Cover.

Battery Removal

•  Remove the Retaining Bar located across the lower portion

of the Battery (Fig. 115a).

•  Remove the Cover O-ring.  DO NOT use tools.

•  Slide the Battery up and out of the Battery Compartment.

Inspection

•  Closely check all of the sealing surfaces for any signs of

damage that might impair proper sealing.

•  Inspect the Button, Lens, and Housing to ensure they are not

cracked or damaged.

WARNING:  If damage or corrosion is found,

return your VEO to an Authorized Oceanic

Dealer, and DO NOT attempt to use it until it has

received factory prescribed service.
