For proper functioning, the temperature should be kept between 0
and 35°C. If the temperature exceeds 40°C, the UPS can work for up
to 8 hours at maximum power. The ideal temperature is between 15
and 25°C. The battery life is always meant at a temperature of 20°C.
Because of the chemical nature of the batteries, for each increment
of 10°C, the batteries lasting decreases by 50%.
Ventilation
The UPS must be positioned at least 2.5 cm away from the nearest
object on the walls exception made for the horizontal support.
Wiring
For the UPS output only use cables with a section of at least 0.75
mm2 and provide for the normal protections against short circuits and
overloads (magnetic guards or fuses)
The cabinet of the batteries must be placed immediately close
to the UPS. It must be provided with a proper switch and fuse.
Connection or replacement of the batteries
There are two 12V batteries connected in series as shown in figure.
Connect the positive terminal of a battery (red cable) to a fuse holder
in which must be placed a 35A fuse. The fuse holder should then be
connected to the positive input terminal of the UPS, marked with the
symbol “+”.
