Safety
We asssume no liability in case of unauthorised modification or changes to the instrument are as well as
for damages caused by improper handling or failure to observe the safety instructions. Any warranty claims
expire in such cases.
Before beginning the initial commissioning, observe the safety instructions, warnings and the information
on “Intended use“.
Warnings and Intended use
Please observe the following information before using the instrument:
• Do not operate the instrument near electrical welders, induction heaters or other electromagnetic fields.
• If the instrument has been exposed to an extreme temperature difference, allow it to adjust to the new
ambient temperature in order to stabilise the IR sensor for about 30 minutes, before you switch it on.
• Do not expose the instrument to high temperatures.
• Protect the instrument from moisture and direct sun light.
• Avoid dusty environments.
• The measuring instrument is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
• The instrument is intended only for the use in applications specified in the operating instructions.
Any other use is not permitted and may result in accidents or the destruction of the instrument.
• Remove the battery if the measuring instrument is not used for a long period of time.
The battery can corrode or discharge itself over long periods.
• Always check for any damage or dirt, before using the instrument.
• This instrument is CE-tested.
