DIGITAL REFRIGERANT SCALE

2015 ©OEMTOOLS

PURPOSE

The OEM Digital Weight Scale is ideal for servicing HVAC and Automotive A/C

systems. Refrigerant can be measured in standard and metric units and has a

built in alarm to indicate when the Scale Capacity has been exceeded.

The 1990 amendments to the United States Clean Air Act mandate that all

personnel who service refrigerant systems must be trained and certified.

Fines are in place for violations and compliance is now being monitored

by the U.S. EPA.
Do Not Vent Refrigerant to the Atmosphere. Use Appropriate Recovery

Equipment.
Confirm system refrigerant type before servicing vehicle. Cross

contamination of refrigerants can cause damage to A/C system, service

tools and equipment. Do not blend refrigerants in a system or in the same

container.

corner of the dispay.

Never Exceed the rated capacity

If the display reads “FULL” immediately remove the object being weighed

from the Scale to prevent damage.
STATIC DISCHARGE: Climates in some parts of the world are conducive

to creating static electric build up (ESD). Your scale has been designed to

eliminate the damaging effects of ESD. In some extreme cases, ESD will

be apparent on your scale by a lack of response or an inability to turn off

the unit. In the rare case that this occurs, simply disconnect the battery,

wait 1 minute and reconnect the battery. The scale will “reboot” itself and

operate normally once the unit is turned on.

If the platform is used in the case, make certain nothing touches the case,

Control Box or platform as false readys can occur.
