INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.2.1 Premium control panel
All the ventilation unit functions can be
controlled and the settings can be changed by
means of a Premium control panel.
When the power is switched on, the ventila-
tion unit starts up in the Home fan operat-
ing mode. The start up time is approx. one
minute; after that, the control panel can
be used. Likewise after a power failure, the
ventilation unit will start up in the Home fan
operating mode if the memory has been
cleared during the power failure.

1. Application
The function of the ventilation system is to pro-
duce fresh indoor air and to remove emissions
and moisture from the air. The air in the home
should be changed at a continuous and suf-
ficient rate to ensure a pleasant indoor climate
and avoid damage to building elements caused
by dampness. The ventilation unit should be
stopped only while service work is in progress.
1.1 Commissioning
A qualified person should set the ventilation
unit’s and the ventilation equipment’s airflows
using appropriate measurement equipment.
Sizing curves for fan capacities are available in
the Installation, operation and maintenance
manual. - A Premium control panel is used for
setting the fan speeds for the unit’s fan oper-
ating modes (Away, Home and Boost).
The ventilation unit must not be operated
without filters. Install only filters recommend-
ed by Walter Meier in the ventilation unit.
The ventilation should not be commissioned
until all work that produces large quantities
of grinding dust or other impurities has been
completed.
1.2 Control of the ventilation system
The
Home
fan operating mode is equivalent
to normal airflow in the home and the
Boost
fan operating mode is used in connection
with cooking, taking a sauna bath, drying
laundry and similar activities.
An airflow which is lower than normal situ-
ation airflow can be used when no one is
present in the home. This saves on fan energy
and the home heating system does not have
to heat as much air during the cold season. A
lower airflow can be produced by means of
the
Away
fan operating mode. The user must
nevertheless assess whether a low airflow will
be sufficient for removing emissions, moisture
from the air.
The ventilation system can be controlled from a
Premium control panel or a Premium cooker hood.
