CHAPTER 3 SCALE TESTING AND CALIBRATION
3.9 SCALE SETTINGS
The EC scale contains eight user-selectable scale settings (Setup mode). These are as follows:
Auto-Off, Zero Tracking Range, Zero Display Range, Filtering, Zero Return Range, Backlight, Unit selection
and APW Re-computing. A description of each setting is explained below.
1. To enter the setup mode, press
Tare
until A.OFF is displayed.
2. Press
Sample
to step through settings and press
Tare
to accept the displayed setting and
proceed to the next setup parameter.
3. Press
C
at any time to exit from the setup mode.
4. Restart the scale after changing settings in the setup mode.

Auto-Off
- Sets the period of inactivity before the scale automatically turns off.
Zero Tracking Range
- Sets the range in which the zero reading is maintained.
Zero Display Range
- Sets the range in which the Zero indication turns on.
Filtering
- Sets the level in which the stable indication turns on; the higher the setting, the faster
the stabilization time.
Zero Return Range
- Sets the level in which the zero point is stable; the higher the setting, the
more stable.
Backlight
- Sets the activation mode of the backlight.
Unit Selection
- Sets the active weighing unit.
APW Re-computing
- Sets the APW re-computing mode. Optimizes piece weight accuracy by
automatically re-computing the existing APW as further pieces (less than the original quantity
on the pan) are added (a beep will sound in this event).
