4.11 Variable speed drive settings and standardization
(WD200)
The variable speed drive is used for fan motor control. The burner controller starts and
stops the variable speed drive with a potential-free release contact. The VSD sends
alarm data to the burner controller using a 12–24 V DC alarm signal. When active, the
signal initiates a burner safety stop.
The burner controller controls the variable speed drive with a 0/4–20 mA signal.
Variable speed drive operation must be linear.
Setting variable speed drive parameters
Set the variable speed drive parameters before the first start-up.
● Remove control signal filtering and delays.
● Set acceleration and deceleration time to 2 s.
● Set the minimum frequency to 0 Hz.
● Set the maximum frequency to 105.2% of the motor’s nominal speed.
After the variable speed drive parameters have been set, standardize the rotation
speed.
Standardization
If automatic speed standardization is activated or a previously
standardized speed value is edited manually, the burner must be
readjusted.
Standardize the rotation speed after setting the variable speed drive parameters. Turn
control selection switch S1 to position 1. The control voltage for burner automation
(burner motor, servomotors) is switched on.
