17.
Terms of warranty
The following warranty terms are applicable to the OilQuick:
17.1
OilQuick AB (OQAB) guarantees that the materials and workmanship of the product are
free from technical defects.
17.2
Under the terms of the warranty, OQAB has the right to decide whether to replace or
repair parts of the products delivered which have become unusable due to material or
manufacturing defects.
17.3
The warranty period is 12 months or 1200 hours of operation, whichever occurs first.
The warranty period is valid from the day when the product is delivered to the end
user, although no longer than 18 months after delivery from the factory.
17.4
The warranty period begins on the date that the product is delivered to the end user.
OQAB will deal with the claims report submitted only if the warranty card has been duly
returned to OQAB.
17.5
The cost of spare parts and labor will be met by OQAB, provided that the claim has been
approved. However, no claim will be entertained for travelling costs, travelling time,
consumables, hydraulic oil and stoppage time.
17.6
The warranty is not applicable to faults that have occurred due to natural wear,
carelessness, shortcomings in assembly or other reason which is outside the control of
OQAB.
17.7
The warranty is not valid if the OilQuick has been rebuilt or modified without the written
approval of OQAB. No reimbursement will be made for parts purchased elsewhere.
Parts delivered after the expiration date of the warranty period are covered by a 3-month
warranty for replacement only of the spare part, provided that the relevant spare part has
been fitted by a workshop or representative approved by OQAB, and such workshop or
representative has confirmed that no play, contamination, wear or the like has had an
adverse effect.
17.8
Defects that have occurred during the warranty period will receive attention from OQAB,
provided that a claims report has been dispatched to OQAB within 30 days of the defects
having occurred and that the defects relate to that particular claim.
17.9
The warranty shall be valid provided that the product has been installed and guided in
accordance with the requirements and instructions in the relevant manual.
17.10
The warranty terms in accordance with the „Maskin 2003‟ standard terms shall otherwise
apply.
