Add
Select the
Add
button to define access to a new Net-
work Print Server or a group of print servers. The IP
address must follow the format XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX,
where each XXX is a number from 0 to 255. Use * to
specify groups/subnets.
Example:
To add a single Network Print Server, enter
198.168.42.24. To add a group of print servers, enter
198.168.42.*.
Delete
The
Delete
button deletes a Network Print Server
access entry in the IP address.
Configuring the Discovery UDP Port
Number
In order to discover Network Print Servers on the net-
work, OkiNet for TCP/IP communicates with the print
servers on a UDP port number. Normally, using this
port number should not interfere with other devices on
the network. If there are problems using the given port
number, select a new number.
Note: Windows NT will not permit the use of Port 9
for discovery. Select one of the other available
ports.
Starting a Telnet Session
A simple telnet interface has been provided to commu-
nicate with devices supporting telnet. A
