Initial Setup & Operation.
See Fig. 1 illustration for desolder tool.
1.
Connect hand-piece to power unit output connector(s).
2.
Connect hand-piece vacuum line port on the main unit.
3.
Insert your selected tip (cartridge) into the hand-piece. Push the tip (cartridge) all
the way until it seats (See instructions supplied each hand-piece).
4.
Place hand-piece(s) into associated workstand(s)
5. Add
distilled water to workstand sponge (sulfur free).
6.
Select the desired channel using the selector switch.
7.
Plug the power cord into a grounded wall socket of the rated input line voltage.
8.
To turn the unit on, push the AC power switch. The AC power LED should light up in
green.
Always use tip removal pad for changing tips.
Tip Selection.
Maintenance of Desolder Tool
To change coil remove screws (Fig. 1), replace with part number MFR-HDCA. Replace front
seal part number DP-SL3 if worn.
Replacing the Liner and Filter (MFR-HDS hand piece only)
To ensure proper vacuum, change the filters whenever the vacuum seems weak. Never use
the desolder tool without filters.
Recommendation: It is recommended to replace both fume filters for every three paper
liners
a.
Remove the collection chamber by sliding it towards the back of the hand-piece until
the chamber latch button snaps up (Fig. 1).
b.
To replace the liner, carefully fold the paper liner, making sure the perforated fingers
are folded over.
c.
Insert the collection liner into the chamber, from the front of the chamber. Then, insert
the fume filter from the back.
d.
Put the chamber back into the hand piece. Push collection chamber to the front of the
hand-piece to ensure proper mating with the coil assembly seal. Press the chamber
latch button to lock.
Use part number AC-DFP for replacement chamber liner, flux filter and in-line fume filter.
To ensure good vacuum check all filters, hoses, coil assembly seal and desolder cartridge for
blockages.
