Display Panel Messages
This section lists the status and error messages that may
appear on your machine’s display panel, and explains what
they mean and how to correct any problem they indicate.
Normal Display in Standby Mode
Under normal operating conditions, information is displayed
on the top and bottom lines of the display.
The top line shows the time and the answering mode.
Answering modes options are:
FAX, TEL, PC, T/F, TAD, or MEM.
The bottom line shows the amount of memory available.
Error Messages
14:14: FAX
CLOSE THE COVER
The upper cover is not closed.
Check to be sure that the image drum is seated correctly and
the toner cartridge is installed properly.
Check to see that the toner cartridge lock lever is pushed
completely forward until it stops.
Press down firmly on the cover to make sure it is closed and
latched.
PAPER SUPPLY OUT
CHECK PAPER SUPPLY
The paper tray is out of paper. Add more paper.
PAPER JAM
CHECK PAPER OR PATH
Jam: Paper is jammed feeding from the paper tray into the
printer. Or, paper may be jammed inside the printing
mechanism under the image drum. Check the paper path and
remove any jammed paper.
