Communication encryption (IPSec)
You can encrypt the communication between your PC and this machine.
Encrypt the communication with IPSec. When IPSec is enabled, all applications are encrypted
using IPSec.
You can specify 50 hosts per IP address. Any access to this machine from an unregistered host
will be denied. Any attempt to access an unregistered host will be invalidated.
Set up your PC after setting up this machine in advance.

You need to prepare a pre-shared key in advance.
• Setting up this machine
To enable IPSec, it is necessary to configure the machine using a web page first.
•
IPSec communication is done when IPSec is set for this machine and the host. If IPSec is not set on the host,
IPSec communication will not be done.

Be sure to make a note of the values you specify in this step. They will be required to configure IPSec settings on
a PC.

Open the web page of this machine.

Log in as an administrator.

Select [Admin Setup].

Select [Network] - [Security] - [IPSec].

Configure the settings by following the on-screen instructions.

For the "Phase 2 Proposal" setting, [AH] or [ESP] must be enabled.

Click [Submit].
The new settings will take effect after the network function of the machine has been reset.

If IPSec cannot be set up due to the inconsistency of specified parameters, the web page cannot be accessed. In
this case, disable IPSec or initialize network settings from the operator panel of this machine.
