Dehumidification function only
This function dehumidifies the atmosphere only, leaving the
room temperature practically unaltered. This function is,
therefore, particularly useful inbetween seasons, on rainy
days for example, when the temperature is agreeable but
the excessive humidity is unpleasant.
When this function is employed the temperature setting is
ignored as is the fan speed which is kept at a minimum. As
a result, every indication of temperature and fan speed
disappears from the display.
Dehumidification is activated by pressing the T4 switch
Functional mode selector until the relevant ideographs
appear on the display symbolized by a drop of water and
automatic ventilation. During dehumidification it is quite
normal should the appliance run intermittently. Fig. 7
4.5
Fan function only
This mode alters neither room temperature nor humidity but
keeps them stable. It is activated by pressing the T4 switch
Functional mode selector until the ideogram shows up on
the display symbolized by a fan. At this stage it is possible
to select the fan speed desired (see chapter 5.8) Fig. 8.
4.6
Heating function (heat pump models only)
This mode is employed for heating the atmosphere. It is
available with heat pump model HP only.
It is activated by pressing the T4 switch Functional mode
selector until the ideogram appears on the display symbolized
by a sun. Before carrying out said operation, however, the
desired temperature and fan speed must be set (see the
respective paragraphs).
After three minutes maximum the compressor starts up and
the appliance starts to emit hot air. Compressor startup is
evident from the green LED which lights up on the internal
unit’s console. Fig. 9
Warning: the appliance regularly defrosts the coil (after
about every 30 minutes). During this entire phase
(which lasts for about 3-8 minutes), the air conditioner
does not issue hot air into the environment although
the various internal organ stay on (except the ambient
air fan).
When the external temperatures are low there may be some
delay (about three minutes) when switching from minimum
to mid or maximum speed when using the remote control.
