This optional device automatically places documents on the glass platen. At the end of the copying cycle, the
documents are placed in the tray.

Do not place the following kinds of document in the ADF:
•
Documents that are torn or have large punched binding holes
•
Excessively crumpled or rolled-up documents
•
Documents held together with paper clips or staples
•
Carbon paper or other documents that cannot be transported easily
•
Transparencies or other highly transparent documents
Using the ADF
Adapt the paper guide (D5) to the
size of the documents.
Open the feeder cover.
Open the internal cover and remove
the jammed documents.
Remove all documents from the
ADF.

Place the documents (preferably of
the same size) in the document tray
(D4) with the side to be copied facing
upwards.

Removing jammed originals
If paper gets jammed in the ADF, the paper jam indicator
(B9) and the paper out/jam indicator (B27) blink
at the same time, the latter indicating area 4 (

To remove jammed documents from the glass platen and inside the ADF, follow the procedure described below:
