• The paper is pressed against the stationary registration roller so that a loop is formed in the paper. The feed roller is then stopped. The
loop thus formed in the paper corrects any mechanical skew in the paper.
• As the trailing edge of the paper reaches a point immediately before the feed roller, the feed roller is stopped.
(5) Paper size detection control
• The main body has no system or mechanism for detecting the paper size. The paper size is therefore specified from the operation panel
after the paper is loaded in the main body.
The length of the paper is detected using the period of time that begins when the registration sensor is activated and ends when it is
deactivated, and if it differs from the paper length specified using the operation panel, it will be judged as a size error.
(6) Paper empty condition detection control
• At time that the paper empty sensor is unblocked, a paper empty condition is detected.
• No mechanism is provided for detecting a paper near-empty condition.

(7) Tray open/close detection control
• The tray 1 set sensor detects a tray in the open or closed position.

(8) Paper misfeed detection control
• If the registration sensor is not activated within a predetermined period of time after a paper feed sequence has been started, the main
body determines that there is a paper misfeed. It then gives the message "PAPER EMPTY TRAY 1" on the panel.
• The paper misfeed display can be reset by opening and closing any of the doors.
• Paper refeeding (retry control) is not performed from tray 1 even when a paper jam is resolved.
