Message: "NOT PROGRAMMED"
You have selected a speed dial code or a one-touch
dial key which has not been programmed: programme
the key or code (see “Programming the Speed di-
alling and One-touch dial” chapter “For everyday
use”).
Message: "OUT OF INK"
The ink cartridge has run out: replace the cartridge (see
“Replacing the ink cartridge”).
Message: "PAPER ERROR", "PRESS STOP"
The paper jammed during a copying or receveing op-
eration: press the STOP key, then, if the sheet is not
ejected automatically, check where it is jammed and
remove it (see “Removing jammed paper”).
Message: "POLL. RETRY nnn"
You have set a reception polling and the connection
was not carried out because of errors on the line or
because the receiver was engaged. The fax machine
is waiting to carry out the automatic redial attempts.
Message: "PRINT. COVER OPEN"
You have forgotten to close the print head compart-
ment cover: close it.
Message: "REMOVE DOCUMENT ","PRESS STOP"
If the document gets jammed during copying or trans-
mission, press the STOP key. If the document is not
key ejected automatically, lift up the console and re-
move it (see “Removing jammed documents”).
You have interrupted the scanning operation by press-
ing the STOP key: press the STOP key again to switch
off the “ERROR” led and remove the document. If the
document is not ejected automatically, remove it manu-
ally.
Message: "RX ERROR"
The reception was not carried out correctly: press the
STOP key to switch off the "ERROR" led.
Message: "RX IN MEMORY"
The reception has been memorised due to an error dur-
ing the reception phase which impeded the printing of the
document. Check on the lower lines of the display for the
type of error and correct the problem. If on the lower line
of the display you see the PRINTER ERROR message
you can only correct the problem when the reception has
finished.
Message: "RX INTERRUPTED"
You have interrupted the reception by pressing the
STOP key: press the STOP key again to switch off the
"ERROR" led.
Message: "SYSTEM ERROR nn"
An anomaly which blocked the fax machine occurred.
Switch off and then on again the fax machine. If the
error persists, switch off the fax and call the technical
support service.
Message: "TX ERROR"
The transmission was not carried out correctly: press
the STOP key to switch off the "ERROR" led and re-
peat the transmission.
Message: "TX INTERRUPTED"
You have interrupted the transmission by pressing the
STOP: press the STOP key again to switch off the "ER-
ROR" led.
