6.
Press SET/CONF. to confirm the password set.
7.
Press SET/CONF.
The message “TX SETUP” appears for a few seconds
on the display and then the facsimile machine is set for
entry of the correspondent’s facsimile number.
8.
Call the correspondent in one of the three ways listed
below:
by pressing the DIAL key, typing the facsimile number
on the numeric keypad and pressing START to confirm,
or:
by pressing the one-touch dialling key under which the
number was stored or:
by pressing SPEED DIAL followed by the speed
dialling code under which the number was stored.
If the AUTOMATIC STORAGE parameter has been
enabled, the document will be stored automatically.
(The operating procedures summarized above are
explained in greater detail in the “NORMAL
TRANSMISSION FROM THE ADF” section).
9.
Transmission is started.
If transmission was completed successfully, the
facsimile machine beeps and returns to stand-by
mode.
If the correspondent does not answer or the line is
busy, the facsimile machine, after a few seconds,
automatically retries transmission (automatic redial
feature).
If transmission still proves unsuccessful, after the last
retry, you can try to retransmit the document, providing
the document has not been removed. If the cor-
respondent’s name was entered on the numeric
keypad, you can retransmit by pressing REDIAL.
If you hear a beep and the error LED comes on, this
means that an error has occurred (e.g. an interruption
in the connection). If this is the case, press STOP to
switch the LED off and repeat the transmission proce-
dure.
If the “LAST TX REPORT” parameter was enabled in
the operating configuration, the facsimile machine
with print the report at the end of transmission.
