OPERATING IN THE INTERNET ENVIRON-
MENT
Transmitting documents on the Internet
1.
Insert the document in the ADF and adjust the
side guides according to its width.
2.
Press the
key.
3.
Type the number of the remote party to whom
you wish to send the document.
4.
Press the
key.
Transmitting documents as e-mail
1.
Insert the document in the ADF and regulate the
paper guides to its width.
2.
Press the
key.
3.
Type the e-mail address (up to 64 characters) of
the remote party to whom you want to send the
document.
4.
Press the
key.
For both the previous transmitting operations, you
can use the fax number or Internet address associ-
ated with a one-touch dialling key or a speed dial-
ling code (for further details, see “Programming
one-touch, speed and group dialling”, “Transmit-
ting with one-touch dialling” and “Transmitting
with speed dialling”, in “Transmitting and receiv-
ing”.
Receiving e-mail
You can receive all your electronic mail directly at
your new e-mail address on your fax machine. For
more details, see the specific paragraph in this sec-
tion.
Capturing WEB pages
1.
Make sure the ADF is empty, then press the
key.
2.
Type in the full address of the page you want to
print out from the WEB site on the Internet.
3.
Press the
key.

If the address you have entered contains the @
character, when the
key is pressed, the
fax machine will prompt you to insert the docu-
ment. At this point, proceed as follows:
a.
Press the
key again without insert-
ing the document.

b.
Press the “1” key on the numeric keypad.
Some time will pass before your fax machine starts
printing the page.
