Service
Replacing the Home Position Switch
To replace the home position switch:
1. Remove the three screws that secure the rear panel (
Fig. 3A
),
then lower the panel.
CAUTION: PC boards contain static-sensitive parts.
Always use appropriate ESD protection when the rear
panel is open.
2. Remove the screws that secure the switch to the chassis
(
Fig. 3N
).

3. Disconnect the switch assembly wiring at the circuit board
connector.
4. Install the new switch assembly, connecting it to the circuit
board.
5. Adjust the switch so the carriage activates the switch before
contacting the chassis.
NOTE:
It may be necessary to bend the switch tang to
ensure proper switch activation.
6. Close the rear panel.
7. Calibrate the device (see
Calibration
on page 1-8).
