8.9 Attachment/detachment of the LED transmitted light illuminator (Optional)
NOTE
l
Do not look directly at the LED light with naked eyes.
l
Depending on the zoom head position, the LED transmitted light illuminator cannot be placed on the
stage. For the procedure to move the zoom head, see "3.2 Vertical movement of the zoom head" in
Operation manual.
Place the LED transmitted light illuminator on the stage with its lighting surface facing up.
Place the sample on the LED transmitted light illuminator.
TIP
To detach the LED transmitted light illuminator, perform the procedure described above in reverse order.
8.10 Connection/disconnection of cables
NOTE
l
Before connecting or disconnecting the cables, turn off the main switch and unplug the power cords from
the outlet.
l
As this system includes motorized portions, do not connect the power cord until you complete connecting
all other cables.
l
Cables and cords are vulnerable to bend or twist. Do not apply excessive force to them.
l
Always connect the units specified by Olympus to each connector.
l
Make sure of the correct orientation of the connector, and insert it. Tighten the clamping screws if
provided.
l
Do not remove the caps attached to the unused connectors. If you touch the connectors with the caps or
stickers removed when the power is ON, the static electricity from your body could cause system failure.
