The remote switch does not work. The wrong remote switch is operated.
Operate the correct remote switch.
The remote switch function has been
set incorrectly.
Set the remote switch function correctly
as described in the video system centre’s
instruction manual.
For BF-Q190 and BF-H190-The remote
switch is left depressed due to a
difference between internal and
external pressures of the endoscope
that is made in the pressure reduction
process of gas sterilization.
If the sterilization cap is attached to the
venting connector, detach it. If not, attach
the sterilization cap to the venting
connector once and then detach it.
The remote switch 1 does not
return to the OFF position.
Remote switch 1 is pressed strongly
from the side.
Pull it upwards gently.
For the TJF-Q180V endoscopes-
Guidewire cannot be locked.
Guidewire is not locked at its stiff part.
Lock the guidewire at its stiff part.
Guidewire with a diameter less than ø
0.64 mm is used.
Select a guidewire with a diameter of ø
0.64 mm or more.
Guide wire-locking groove is dirty.
Clean and disinfect or sterilize the

then contact Olympus.

Focus function ERR E204
Contact Olympus
The focus function of the
endoscope or the video
system center does not work.
Stop using the endoscope and withdraw it
from the patient as described in the instruction
manual for the endoscope. Also, contact
Olympus. This message can be hidden
temporarily by pressing the “ESC” key
on the keyboard
