Replacing Wheels
To replace a wheel
1.
Using a flat-headed screwdriver, remove the screw that holds the wheel (see
Figure 2-17 on page 36).

Remove the wheel.

Install the new wheel on the frame and secure it with the screw. Be sure to
position the bearings correctly.
If one of the wheels stops functioning correctly, it is recommended that all four wheels
be replaced. Depending on how much the wheels have worn, replacing only one
wheel could hinder the smooth motion of the scanner.
To avoid injury, be careful when handling the magnetic wheels; the magnetic pull of
the wheels is strong and could pinch your finger—for example, between two wheels,
or between a wheel and a steel surface.
