Lamp replacement
•
Do not leave foreign matter (such as gauze or a plastic bag)
inside this instrument. Fire or instrument damage can result.
•
Do not install any lamps other than those designated by
Olympus. Otherwise, this instrument and ancillary equipment
may be damaged, resulting in malfunction or fire.
•
Do not replace the lamp immediately after the video system
is turned OFF. The lamp will be hot, which may result in
burns.
•
Do not touch the lens or reflecting mirror. Contamination can
result in cracks and instrument damage.
•
Do not handle the lamp with bare hands. Always use gloves
or clean gauze.
•
If the lamp is soiled, wipe it with a piece of clean gauze or
lint-free cloth moistened with 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol,
and dry it thoroughly before use. If the lamp is lit while dirty, it
will cause transmission loss, and in some cases, shorten the
lamp’s life or cause equipment damage.
•
When inserting the lamp into the lamp socket, apply force
gently and directly above the lamp. Using excessive force to
insert the lamp could damage it.
•
Make sure the lamp is not oblique before inserting it. If the
lamp is inserted at an angle, the light intensity may be
reduced.
•
Close the lamp access cover securely and lock it before
operation. This instrument will not operate unless the cover is
securely closed and locked.
•
After lamp replacement, move the lamp selection lever to the
A or B position. If the lamp selection lever is not set securely
in one position, the lamp will not light.
