Switches between AF and MF. The minimum
shooting range will change depending on the
setting.
If the camera is set to MF, the lens will operate
in MF mode even if the switch is set to AF.
Notes on Shooting
Use the hood when shooting a backlit
subject.
Edges of pictures may be cut off if more than
one fi lter is used or if a thick fi lter is used.

Can be used with the optional EC-14, EC-20
teleconverters in MF mode.
Using the optional EX-25 extension tube you
can shoot with a magnifi cation of 0.40 – 0.66x
(0.80 – 1.32x when calculated based on
35 mm fi lm camera), using MF mode through
