Selecting the mode
[Mode Select]
With this recorder, you can choose
between normal mode and simple mode,
which lists frequently used functions.
In simple mode, the displayed text
becomes larger for easier viewing.
[
Normal Mode
]:
This is the standard mode in which
all functions are available.
[
Simple Mode
]:
This mode lists frequently used
functions. Displayed text becomes
larger for easier viewing.
Restoring the default settings
[Reset Settings]
The [
Reset Settings
] function restores all
the voice recorder’s functions to their initial
(factory default) settings. Time setting and
file number will remain the same.

TIP
•
When setting the year, month or
date, each time you press the
FOLDER/INDEX
button the display
order used for the date changes.

NOTE
•
If the batteries are removed from the
voice recorder, the [
Time & Date
]
screen is displayed automatically
when the power is turned on.
WS-883 model only:
•
If you use nickel-metal hydride
rechargeable batteries (BR404),
the [
Time & Date
] screen may be
displayed when the batteries are
running out of power, even though
they have not been replaced.
