Absolute
Mode allows Alarm 1 to function independently from Setpoint 1. If the
process being monitored does not change often, then "Absolute" Mode is
recommended. The absolute Setpoint values are placed in the Alarm 1 Low and
Hi values.
Deviation
Mode allows Alarm 1 trigger at the Setpoint 1 value, as long as the
Alarm 1 Low and Hi values equal 0. Deviation mode is typically the ideal mode if
the process temperature changes often.

Latched Mode:

Unlatched Mode:
