IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
UL Safety instructions
!
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS - This manual contains important instructions for model 1KVA/2KVA that should
be followed during installation and maintenance of the UPS and batteries.
!
When replacing batteries, use the same number and type of batteries.
!
Controlled Environment-Intended for installation in a controlled environment. Refer to manual for environmental
conditions.
!
CAUTION - Do not dispose of battery or batteries in fire. The battery may explode.
!
CAUTION - Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
!
CAUTION - A battery can present risk of electric shock and high short circuit current. The following precautions
should be observed when working on batteries.
(1) Remove watches, rings, or other metal object.
(2) Use tools with insulated handles.
(3) Wear rubber gloves and boots.
(4) Do not lay tools or metal parts on the top of batteries.
(5) Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
!
CAUTION - Servicing of Battery Bank Connection should be performed by service personnel knowledgeable of
batteries and the required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.
!
No User Serviceable Parts -"CAUTION- Risk of electric shock. Do not remove cover. No user serviceable parts
inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel."
!
UPS Having Internal Battery -"CAUTION- Risk of electric shock-hazardous live parts inside this UPS are
energized from the battery supply even when the input ac power is disconnected."
!
Non-isolated Battery Supply -"CAUTION- Risk of electric shock. Battery circuit is not isolated from AC input,
hazardous voltage may exist between terminals and ground. Test before touching."
!
Battery Supplies Over 60V - "DANGER- Risk of electric shock, Do not touch un insulated battery terminals. "
FCC statement
!
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this
device may not cause harmful interference. And (2) this device must accept any interference received including
interference that may cause undesired operation.
!
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to
part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does
cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation into an on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Getting Started
This chapter gives an overview of the features and first-time operating instructions of the Uninterruptible Power
System(UPS).
1.1 Overview
The purpose of this UPS is to supply power to computers and other electronic equipment after a power failure.
In addition, this UPS protects the equipment from ac power line irregularities such as blackouts, sags, spikes, and
electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. It allows continuous operation through most commercial ac power
disturbances and an opportunity to secure data and safely shut down systems in the event of an extended outage.
This UPS using the most advanced PWM technology, Long back up time model is available, it includes 10A charger
can rapidly charge the external battery bank.
