If your computer is not connected to the network, a "
Request timed out
" error or a "
Destination
host unreachable
" message is returned. Check with your network administrator.
Verify the network path to the OM-WEB Series device
You can ping the OM-WEB Series device to verify that the network path from the computer to the device is set
up correctly.
Enter ping followed by the IP address of the device.
For example, enter
ping
192.168.0.10
and press the
Return
key. If you can successfully communicate
with the device, a message similar to the one below is returned.
If a "
Request
timed
out
" error or a "
Destination
host
unreachable
" message is returned, the network
settings may not be set correctly. Press the
RESET
button on the OM-WEB Series device to reset the network
configuration settings to factory default values. If DHCP is enabled, an IP address is automatically assigned to
the device. If DHCP is not enabled, assign the device a unique static IP address and re-establish communication
with the device. Refer to "Connecting OM-WEB Series hardware directly to a computer" on page 15 for
information on how to assign a static IP address.
If the
RESET
button does not restore the network settings, the microcontroller on the OM-WEB-TEMP, OM-
WEB-TC may not be working. Contact Omega Engineering technical support. Refer to

Changes to network configuration should only be performed by your network administrator or computer
professional.
