2.3.6 Using the Alarm Functions
The thermometer provides audible and visible alarm
indications.
• To set the high alarm value:
1. Pull the trigger. Then press and hold the
key until
the High Alarm Display Mode (HAL) appears.
2. Press the
key to increment the high alarm value. Press
the
key to decrement the high alarm value.
3. Press the
key to enable the high alarm function. The
icon appears.
If the temperature exceeds the high alarm setpoint,
you will hear a beep and the
icon on the
display flashes.
4. To disable the high alarm, press the
key again, and
the
icon disappears.
If you are not in High Alarm Display Mode (HAL) when
the high alarm goes off, you must press the
key to
get into the High Alarm Display Mode. Then press the
key to disable the high alarm.
The high alarm setpoint does not change when the
thermometer is turned off. However, when the
batteries are replaced, it is reset to the default value
as follows:
OS520:
750°F
OS520E, OS521: 1000°F
OS522:
1600°F
OS523:
2500°F
OS524:
4500°F
