Yellow Wire:
Accessory Output
Connection Required
.
Connect the Yellow wire to the vehicle’s Accessory
wire. This circuit supplies power to the Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
(HVAC) system. This wire will show 12 Volts when the ignition key is in the “Run”
and “Accessory” positions and No voltage in the “Start” and “Off” positions. The
connection point for this wire is also found in the ignition switch wiring harness
(see diagram on page 8).

Black Wire:
System Ground
Connection Required.
Connect the Black wire to a very good, clean
chassis ground. A recommended connection is to an existing machine-thread
bolt, either in the driver’s kick panel, steering column area or a major structural
member behind the dash. Small dash braces are not adequate, and the area
must be clean, bright metal. Use of a sheet metal screw or otherwise grounding
to the vehicle’s sheet metal is least desirable, and in some cases will result in an
inadequate grounding of the system.
