Safety
General considerations for the purposes of the CE directive
For the purposes of essential safety requirements, all parts of the machine that can cause harm to
people have been carefully protected.
The machine is built in such a way as to offer the maximum possible guarantees for personnel
safety and for good operation, however we must not forget that good control and good
maintenance of the machine and safety devices are essential for the prevention of accidents and to
get maximum performance.
The machine is equipped with fixed and mobile protections that prevent the operator from
accessing the press movement areas in dangerous conditions.
The mobile protective doors, by means of an electrical system, allow the machine to be used
normally only when they are completely closed.
Opening the doors disables the power to the motors.
A “Safety Exclusion” key selector switches off the power supply to the motors and allows the
inspection of live electrical panels.
The electrical system is redundant and is controlled through specific safety modules.
Four manually operated emergency devices are also installed on the machine (red mushroom
pushbuttons in yellow field, self-holding type). The buttons are located on the front of the machine
(one in the film entry area, one in the control selector area, one on the structure of the Video touch
screen and one in the waste discharge area). The actuation of even one of the four buttons
immediately stops the operation of all the motors and deactivates the command to all the
pneumatic actuators.
For all maintenance operations on the electrical panel, a lockable main switch is installed. Before
carrying out any work on mechanical or electrical systems, it is necessary to cut off the power
supply by placing the main switch on "0" and placing a padlock in the appropriate slot in order to
avoid any undesirable reactivation.
The electrical heating and service cabinets are fitted with a "door lock" safety limit switch which
activates the release coil of the main switch, forcing its intervention.

falsification of the security devices, including the partial or partial removal of the mobile and fixed
protections.
Machine users must carry out checks on the correct operation, their
integrity and efficiency of the safety devices at least once a month.
Before shipping some extra-parts are mounted to make safety transport. All extra-parts must be
removed before machine use.
