5. SET UP
5.1 Installation
Install the unit on a plane surface or in your rack. For 19" (483 mm) rack installation, 1 unit is required. Screw
on the two supplied mounting brackets at the left and right sides of the housing. When mounting the unit into
the rack, please make sure that there is enough space around the device so that the heated air can be
passed on. Steady overheating will damage your device. You can fix the unit with four screws M6 in the rack.
5.2 Connections
Prior to making or changing any connections, switch off the
DMP-102
and the units to be connected.
1. Connect subsequent units with line level inputs (e.g. amplifier or mixer) to the balanced XLR output
and/or to the unbalanced RCA output. Make sure that the right/left occupation is the same at the
devices. The output volume can be adjusted with the control MUSIC LEVEL.
2. For connection of a microphone use the microphone input (3-pin XLR, bal.). The microphone volume can
be adjusted with the control MIC GAIN.
3. The input signals can be monitored ahead of the master control via stereo headphones. Connect the
headphones to the 3.5 mm jack PHONES on the front panel. The headphone volume can be adjusted
with the control PHONE LEVEL.
4. Use the supplied power cable to connect the
DMP-102
to the mains.
If the device will be directly connected with the local power supply network, a disconnection switch with a
minimum opening of 3 mm at every pole has to be included in the permanent electrical installation. The device
must only be connected with an electric installation carried out in compliance with the IEC standards. The
electric installation must be equipped with a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a maximum fault current of
30 mA.
5.3 Remote control
1. To insert the batteries, remove the cover on the rear side of the remote control.
2. Insert two 1.5 V micro batteries (type AAA) as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the
compartment again with the cover.
3. If the remote control not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage. Please refer to further explanations in chapter Safety
Instructions.
CAUTION!
